Screaming into the black forest gateau shaped void

Posted on: Thu 30 Mar 2023

Feeling hungry for some emotive gorging? Nothing is left underdone when sharing personal anecdotal narratives that lifts the lid off on being diagnosed with autism as an adult, as well as trying to micromanage your emotional turmoil and psychological trauma.

For Sam Wade, an aggressively upbeat, neurodivergent stand-up comedian who grew up in the New South Wales southern coastal city of Nowra, screaming haplessly into a proverbial void is a battle that can only be defeated by filling our brains with laughter, and maybe a slice or two of a Black Forest Gateau cake. Now Wade plans on making his malevolent presence felt at the Melbourne International Comedy Festival in April 2023 with the long awaited debut of his show, vs The Void, which is about not letting the void destroy your positivity in what humanity can do to renourish your sense of humour.

Wade got to engage in a very humble yet cathartic discussion with De-Stigmatised‘s Jarad McLoughlin, which took quite a few unexpected twists and turns.
