The uncomfortable policy

The stage 3 tax cuts have been under serious scrutiny as the government approaches the announcement of their October budget.

Many have questioned the usefulness of tax cuts for those at the top, so how have the government found themselves in this position of pushing a policy they were reluctant to vote for when in opposition?

Our Federal Political Correspondent Dr Blair Williams, Lecturer in Australian Politics at Monash University, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann to discuss this controversial policy.
