The Carbon Footprint of Food Miles

When we think about carbon emissions, we often think about big fossil fuel producers and cars. And if we think about food, we think about meat production. But the transport of food is a huge contributor to the carbon emission cost of food generally, and this has been researched by Dr Mengyu Li, physicist, of Sydney University. She spoke to Barometer’s Barry Mitchell.
