Coal Power Stations paid to do Nothing

The Energy Security Board (ESB) wants to introduce new market rules that will result in coal-fired power stations remaining open long after they become uneconomic, even if they are not needed to provide power. All in the name of ‘a strategic reserve’. But is it needed? Barometer spoke to Smart Energy Council CEO, John Grimes
