Posted on: Fri 21 May 2021

The University of Adelaide has officially turned on its $7m Roseworthy Solar and Energy Storage Project aiming to power 42% of the campus’ animal hospitals, teaching labs, lecture theatres, offices, research facilities and more.

The University of Adelaide funded the project from a $778,500 dollar grant from the South Australian Renewable Technology Fund. Within its first tests they managed to exceed expectations with nearly 90% of its power covered by solar energy.

Energy Manager in the Infrastructure Branch of the University of Adelaide, Vikram Kenjle joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Paul Davies to discuss the project further.
