A Celtic Adventure Plays on the Harp Strings

Posted on: Fri 19 Feb 2021

The sound of the harp is often described as magical, delicate and even ethereal. Local Harpist Christine Morphett in collaboration with SA Celtic Harp Orchestra, Telenn Tri and Emma Horwood present A Celtic Adventure, bringing together the traditional folk music of Ireland and Scotland with a soundscape of nine harps as part of the Adelaide Fringe Festival.

A Celtic Adventure is currently a sell-out, but a pre-Fringe show is set to take place at the Village Well in Aldgate on 28 February at 2.30pm.

Christine Morphett speaks with Festival City’s Emma Wotzke about her involvement in traditional Celtic music and how this led to the inception of A Celtic Adventure.
