ANZ divests from coal port

The ANZ bank has pulled out of funding the port of Newcastle, the world’s largest thermal coal terminal. This is being interpreted as a significant rebuke of the coal industry and its exposure to climate risk.

To look into ANZ’s decision and the background to their divestment, Barometer’s Des Lawrence spoke with Tim Buckley, from the Institute for Energy Economics and Financial Analysis.
