Powers of Attorney Recommendations

Posted on: Fri 22 Jan 2021

This week, the independent South Australian Law Reform Institute passed on recommendations to change South Australian law and practice regarding Powers of Attorney.

Growing concerns over recent years about the abuse of vulnerable adults has led to SA Law Reform Institute’s report, that has made more than 100 recommendations which aim to promote the proper use of Powers of Attorney.

Dr Sylvia Villios, lead author of the report from the SA Law Reform Institute, spoke with Breakfast’s Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann about the need for the recommendations and how they might be implemented.
