Homelessness services call for NDIS improvements

Posted on: Fri 8 Jan 2021

In mid 2019, the Joint Standing Committee on the National Disability Insurance Scheme was formed to seek information about the implementation and performance of the NDIS.

Throughout this time, organisations and witnesses raised a number of challenges for people with disabilities who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness.

Hutt St Centre is now calling on the Federal Government to implement recommendations to better engage with people with disability who are at risk of or experiencing homelessness, along with the providers of specialist homelessness services which support them.

Hutt St Centre Chief Executive Chris Burns joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss.
