In 1945, The Nuremberg war trials began as 24 Nazi leaders were put on trial before judges representing the victorious Allied powers.

In 1990, British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher failed to defeat Michael Heseltine’s bid for leadership of the Conservative Party.

In 1966, the musical “Cabaret” opened at Broadhurst Theatre in New York City – the season running for over 1000 performances.
