The News Media Bargaining Code and the Independent Media

While the News Media Bargaining Code is an ongoing piece of legislation, the simple idea is that mainstream news businesses will be able to get paid for their content from online  media titans such as Facebook and Google and will be able to adapt their model to suit the social media algorithm and stay ahead of the trends. But what will that mean for the independent reporters, journalists and content creators who produce their material without the tools of the mainstream press?
