On This Day;

In 1938, Orson Welles caused a nationwide panic with his broadcast of “War of the Worlds”; a realistic radio dramatisation of a Martian invasion of Earth.

“War of the Worlds” was not planned as a radio hoax, and Welles had little idea of the havoc it would cause, but the widespread panic made it go down in history.

Breakfast producer Zak Stuart joins Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to elaborate on these events in history.
