Cruelty of Australia’s asylum seeker policy

Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton and Scott Morrison before him have been hardline with the rhetoric around asylum seeker policy. That’s why the re-election of the Coalition Government caused immense loss of hope for asylum seekers detained on Manus and Nauru. But the consensus around Australia is that something needs to change.

Alex Reilly, Director of the Public Law and Policy Research Unit at The University of Adelaide joined Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss the cruelty of Australia’s Asylum Seeker Policy and if it could change under the current government.
