In 421, it was a Friday at 12 PM when the city of Venice was founded in the malarial swamps off the coast of Italy.

In 1965, Martin Luther King led thousands of nonviolent demonstrators to the steps of the capitol in Montgomery, Alabama, after a 5-day, 54-mile march from Selma, Alabama.

In 1942, Aretha Franklin is born. She was delivered at her family’s home located at 406 Lucy Avenue, Memphis, Tennessee.
