One actor, many masks: ‘A Solo Commedia dell’Arte Show’

Posted on: Sat 2 Mar 2019

The National Wine Centre will play host to Andrew Crupi and his many Commedia dell’Arte characters as part of this year’s Fringe.

Steeped in European theatre tradition, Commedia dell’Arte is well known for its physicality, exaggerated characters and stock storylines. Lisa caught up with actor Andrew Crupi to discover more about this show’s development and drew him to this theatrical tradition in the first place.

A Solo Commedia dell’Arte Show will run at the National Wine Centre Saturday and Sunday for each remaining weekend of the Fringe at the National Wine Centre. Head to the Adelaide Fringe website for tickets and further information.
