Tackling cancer with comedy

Posted on: Sat 16 Feb 2019

Michael Shafar, stand-up and frequent writer for The Project, is a comedian not afraid to examine and poke fun at his own personal challenges. His upcoming Fringe show, 50/50, promises to do just that as Shafar discusses a relatively recent cancer diagnosis, reassuring us that it’s a fun night out and definitely not a TED talk.

Lisa caught up with Michael on Arts Breakfast to find out about his journey thus far and what Adelaide Fringe audiences might expect from 50/50 which is now showing at Gluttony until February 24.
