In 1859 the first flying trapeze act was performed by Jules Leotard at Cirque Napoleon in Paris, France. He was also the designer of the garment that is named after him.

In 1940, Walt Disney released “Fantasia.” The film consists of eight animated segments set to pieces of classical music.

In 1966, The Monkees debut album started a 13-week run at No.1 on the US album chart, selling over 3 million copies in three months.
