Labor against the deregulation of shopping trading hours

Posted on: Fri 3 Aug 2018

The proposed plans to deregulate shopping trading hours within Adelaide is being met with strong opposition from independent business owners.

Last month the SA Liberal state government introduced the Retail Trading Bill, which affords bigger retailer chains the same flexible trading hours as smaller independent stores.

The Opposition Shadow Assistant Minister Hon Emily Bourke joined Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis to discuss why Labor and other members of the Upper House are against the deregulation.
