In 1979, the first $US  to commemorate a woman was issued. The coin featured American suffragette, Susan B Anthony.

In 1937, Amelia Earhart and her co-pilot Frederick Noonan went missing during their attempt to fly around the world.

In 1998, Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets was published.

In 1986, Prince’s second film Under The Cherry Moon was released.
