Congratulations Jacinda Ardern!

New Zealand prime minister, Jacinda Ardern,  became the second ever leader to give birth while in office. What a woman! As she takes 6 weeks leave, deputy prime minister, Winston Peters will lead the country.

Nurses are set to go on strike in July if additional funding is not supplied. This will be the first nurses strike in New Zealand for 30 years.

New Zealand police will be reopening the investigation into Pike River Mine after the case closed in 2013.

New Zealand correspondent, Lachlan Balfour, from 95bFM joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann to discuss these events and more.
