On this day in 1873, American women’s rights activist, Susan B. Anthony, was fined $100 for voting in the presidential election.

On this day in 1977, the Sex Pistols were attacked outside a London pub. The band had a bad reputation after the release of their song ‘God Save The Queen’.

On this day in 1983, Sally Ride became the first American woman in space.

On this day in 1966, The Beach Boy releases ‘Wouldn’t It Be Nice’ and ‘God Only Knows’ as a single.
