On this day in 1984, Apple unleashed the first Macintosh personal computer. It debuted on a $1.5 million television ad directed by Ridley Scott.

On this day in 1972, a Japanese Soldier, Shoichi Yokoi, was found hiding in a Guam jungle, 38 years after World War II had ended.

Also, on this day in 2016, the popular sci-fi drama series, the X-Files returned to television after 13 years.
