AYO National Music Camp returns

Posted on: Tue 9 Jan 2018

Classical violinist, Sophie Rowell, has an accomplished and eventful career.  After winning the ABC Young Performer’s Award in 2000, she toured around the country and the globe performing at many prestigious events. She formed her own award-winning quartet and taught at the National Academy of Music, amongst many other things.  Now she has stepped up to direct the the chamber orchestra at this year’s National Music Camp, run by the not-for-profit Australian Youth Orchestra.

Sophie joins Breakfast presenters Sam Smith and Casey Tonkin to talk about her experiences on the camp, from joining as a young participant in the 90’s to coming back to direct it.
