Consultations held for NFPs over funding contracts

Posted on: Fri 24 Nov 2017

Consultations over state government funding contracts for all not-for-profit organisations in South Australia have been taking place over the last week.

The contracts cover hundreds of millions of dollars in government funding across arts, sport, environment, child protection, family welfare, low income support, drug and alcohol and gambling rehabilitation, and other social services.

The meetings are being run by revevant peak bodies in conjunction with the South Australian Department of Treasury and Finance and Department of Communities and Social Inclusion.

SACOSS Senior Policy Officer, Greg Ogle, and Volunteering SA&NT CEO, Evelyn O’Loughlin, explained the consultation process and why it’s important that SA not-for-profit organisations take part.
