On this day in 1955, the television series ‘Alfred Hitchcock Presents” premiered on CBS. The seires ran for 10 years and was hosted and produced by the man himself, Alfred Hitchcock.

Also on this day in 1950, the famous Peanuts cartoon debuted in newspapers as a cartoon strip. The first strips features characters, Charlie Brown, Shermy and Patty.

Finally on this day in 1990, the east German station, Radio Berlin International, held their final broadcast the day before German’s reunification.
