Weimarian Revolution at Adelaide Fringe

Posted on: Fri 6 Mar 2020

Weimarian Revolution is a labour of love developed by New York City-based chanteuse and actress Artemisia, who is an avid enthusiast of the culture, music, and silent films of Berlin in the 1920s-1940s.

The program showcases painstakingly researched songs by Jewish and LGBTQ+ composers from Germany who used their art to resist against the face of oppression.

Artemisia LeFay joins Breakfast to discuss her show which is making its Australian debut at this year’s Fringe festival.

Weimarian Revolution begins at The Jade next Wednesday the 11th of March.
