Luisa Sobral hits Adelaide for WOMAD

Posted on: Mon 24 Feb 2020

Amar Pelos Dios is the song that drew the world’s attention towards Portuguese singer/songwriter Luisa Sobral, after writing the song for her brother to perform in the Eurovision Song Contest.

Her latest album Rosa, named after her daughter, is filled with raw, simple songs subtly adorned with strings and woodwinds, perfectly framing her spellbinding voice.

Luisa joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis ahead of her set at WOMAD 2020 to discuss her album and how she feels about heading to Australia.
