State Treasurer on Land Tax Reform

The changes in land tax proposed by the South Australian Government have sparked a heated debate among politicians, property investors and the general public.

The most contentious point of the plan is the proposal to fix the loophole in which owners pay less tax by splitting their properties in different buckets with the help of lawyers and accountants.

South Australian Treasurer Rob Lucas joins Breakfast’s Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann to discuss the benefits of this controversial reform.
