Media Portrayal of Sex Workers

Last week’s Sydney stabbing caused the death of the 42nd woman in Australia to die from the violence of a man.
The victim was Michaela Dunn, a sex worker. These facts were either ignored or treated as an afterthought by many major media organisations.
