In 1836, the opening of the Arc de Triomphe in Paris took place.

In 1954, “Fellowship of the Ring” the 1st volume of “Lord of the Rings” by J. R. R. Tolkien published.

In 1958, the U.S. Congress passes legislation establishing the National Aeronautics and Space Administration.

In 2005, an anonymous bidder pays one million dollars for the original handwritten lyrics to The Beatles’ “All You Need Is Love” at the Hippodrome nightclub in London.
