Climate group calls for civil disobedience

Posted on: Tue 5 Feb 2019

Climate group Extinction Rebellion says we’ve experienced enough fires, floods and heatwaves to recognise the truth that we have a climate emergency on our hands and that our governments are not taking this seriously enough. That our own extinction as a species is a distinct possibility and the process may not be pretty or peaceful. Extinction Rebellion is a growing global movement who say it is time for civil disobedience and courage to replace hope.

Local organisers Deb King and Peta Page tell the story to Pete Burdon and Nicky Page on Packed Lunch.
