Foodbank calling for national strategy on food security

Posted on: Fri 16 Nov 2018

Foodbank Australia is calling for a government commitment to a national strategy on food security.

This follows the reversal of cuts to its Key Staples program, in which it was proposed that funding would be cut down to $427,000 per year.

General Manager and Company Secretary, Sarah Pennell, speaks to Small Change‘s Lisa Burns about why the program is so vital and the work that still needs to be done to ensure people aren’t living in hunger.
