Support needed for clients following HIV program cuts

Posted on: Tue 18 Sep 2018

Two weeks ago, Centacare Catholic Family Services received the news that its Individualised Support Program for People with HIV, known as Cheltenham Place, will be completely de-funded.

It’s likely that after 31 years, Cheltenham Place will close its doors at the end of the year.

Centacare Director, Dale West, sits down for a chat with Small Change‘s Lisa Burns to discuss his reaction to the funding cuts, the important role Cheltenham Place plays in the lives of its client group and the next steps for the organisation in trying to provide support for these 80 people.
