Creative Pathways Concerts & Workshops for ATSI music supported by Adelaide Fringe Artist Fund

Posted on: Sat 21 Oct 2017

The Adelaide Fringe has announced the recipients of next year’s record-breaking Artist Fund and one of the lucky 15 projects is Creative Pathways Concert and Workshops which will come to the Nexus Multicultural Arts Centre at the 2018 Adelaide Fringe Festival.

This workshop series celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander cultures by placing traditional language into modern music, cementing the relevance of language and tradition in contemporary society.

Lisa was joined by local singer-songwriter, Corey Theatre, one of three performers at the event’s concert who will also run indigenous language workshops at local schools as part of the project. We found out more about his experience in the music scene and how his culture and background has informed his approach.
