What if I say I’m not like the others?
What if I say I’m not just another one of your plays?
You’re the pretender
What if I say I will never surrender?

A Rocking Tribute to Foo Fighters: An Unforgettable Night of Music Celebration!

Step into the heart of Adelaide Fringe’s biggest open-air concert venue, where the air crackles with anticipation and the stage is set for a night of unparalleled rock ‘n’ roll. Gluttony, in collaboration with a super-group of musicians from award-winning shows, including ’27 Club’, ‘That 90s Show’, ‘Come Together: The Beatles Rock Show’, ‘Massaoke Oz’, ‘Gospo’ and more, presents an electrifying and exclusive event like no other. Celebrating thirty years of the Foo Fighters, this tribute promises two energy-fueled nights of their most iconic hits, and it delivers in every sense of the word.

From the moment the lights dim and the first chord resonates through the crowd, it’s clear that this isn’t just another gig, it’s a reverent homage to one of the most influential bands of our time. As the super-group takes the stage, the atmosphere ignites with excitement, and the audience is transported on a sonic journey through three decades of Foo Fighters’ legendary music.

What sets this tribute apart is not only the caliber of local musicianship on display but also the palpable passion and camaraderie shared among the performers with Ben Whittington (guitar and vocals), Cam Blokland (guitar and vocals), Ben Todd (drums), Lee Nash (bass) and Jack Strempel (keyboards). And I must say, the boys are rocking it… with each riff, drumbeat, and soaring vocal, it’s evident that these artists aren’t just playing the songs, they’re embodying the spirit of the Foo Fighters themselves, paying homage to their musical legacy with authenticity and reverence. I just loved it!

As the night unfolds, the crowd is treated to a relentless onslaught of hits, from the anthemic “Best of You” to the thunderous “Monkey Wrench” and everything in between. With every chorus sung back at the stage with fervour and every guitar solo met with wild applause, it’s clear that the audience is fully immersed in the experience, feeding off the infectious energy radiating from the performers.

But perhaps the most magical moments occur when the super-group delves into deeper cuts and fan favorites, reminding us of the Foo Fighters’ versatility and staying power as a band. Whether it’s the haunting melodies of “These days” or the raw intensity of “My Hero,” each song is delivered with precision and passion, capturing the essence of what has made Foo Fighters a beloved fixture in the rock pantheon for over three decades.

By the time the final chords of “Everlong” ring out into the night sky, the audience is left exhilarated, inspired, and thoroughly satisfied. Gluttony’s tribute to Foo Fighters is more than just a concert, it’s a celebration of music’s ability to unite, uplift, and transcend boundaries. And as the crowd disperses into the night, the echoes of Foo Fighters’ timeless melodies linger in the air, a testament to the enduring power of rock ‘n’ roll.
