‘Mac’ McNeill – WW2 Veteran – A tribute

Posted on: Mon 1 Jan 2024

It’s fitting that at long last… 77 years after the end of World War Two, one of ‘Mac’ McNeill’s daughters publicly sheds light on her father’s right to proudly bear the title ‘ Australian War Veteran’. Mac’s wife would’ve been very relieved and very proud of this moment.

Maggie McNeill Baxter (one of Mac’s two daughters) tells the story, supported with comment by Secretary of the US Army Small Ships Association Daniel O’Brien OAM, and an emotive Ode To Seamen by the late Frank Finch OAM.
