Newcastle is not only the largest coal port in the world. It is responsible for ONE PERCENT of global carbon emissions. Which is why it’s the focus of a national campaign for a “2-day, three thousand strong, family-friendly flotilla blockade” in November. Leena Sudano was SA Secretary of the Nurses Union then SA Health and Community Services Complaints Commissioner. She spoke with Nicky Page on Radio Adelaide about why she has joined the Rising Tide campaign and what is planned for Adelaide.
