Brightening up with Christmas Cheer: 40 Years of Lobethal Lights

Posted on: Fri 16 Dec 2022

For 40 years Lobethal residents Bill and Peg Chartres have been continuing the annual tradition of lighting up their home on Christmas Lane in a stunning display of Festive cheer.

Beginning as a single strand of Festoon lights back in 1983, the four decades since have seen the couple work together in the lead up of each festive season, transforming their entire front yard to include a luminous range of colour, critters and Christmas scenes.

Peg joined to share more on their motivations over the last 40 years, what it means to them and how they have planned and transformed their designs over all this time.
