Australia’s whistleblower laws are notoriously tight with major whistleblower prosecution cases drawn out for years.

With the introduction of Australia’s new National Anti-Corruption Commission, its clear a better balance needs to be struck to ensure politicians can be held to account without journalists fearing blowback.

A J Brown, Professor of Public Policy & Law at Griffith University’s Centre for Governance & Public Policy, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann to unpack the state of whistleblower protections and what changes we could see.
