Socceroos taking a stand

The FIFA World Cup is right around the corner. It’s been a bumpy road for this moment but anticipation is high for the competition.
In the lead up to the Cup kicking off the Socceroos have made a decision as a team to be vocal about some of the issues plaguing many about the host country, including their treatment of migrant workers and current laws discriminating against LGBTIQ people.
Our sports correspondent, Dr Michelle O’Shea from Western Sydney University, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann to help us unpack all.
