Link between alcohol and breast cancer

Posted on: Thu 10 Nov 2022

Up to one in ten cases of breast cancer in Australia is linked to drinking alcohol.

A Torrens University Australia study has found that many women are unaware of the link between alcohol and cancer.

The study featured 50 interviews with midlife women, living in South Australia, who have a relationship with alcohol.

Co-author of the study and researcher in Public Health at Torrens University Australia, Dr Belinda Lunnay, joins Breakfast host Tom Mann to discuss her findings.
