In 1157, King Richard the first was born in Oxford, England.
He succeeded his father King Henry the second, taking on the throne in 1189 until his death ten years later.
And today, on what will become a historical day, the passing of Queen Elizabeth the second has been announced.
She passed peacefully at Balmoral Castle in Scotland and her eldest son, Charles, is now king.
