The Tarkine/ Tarkanya forest wilderness in central Tasmania is a precious and important place. Why would you allow a mining company to build a toxic tailings dam there? When it could be built in an area that is already wrecked. Construction has been stopped, at least for the moment, after 69 people were arrested in the determined campaign led by the Bob Brown Foundation …. Cate Mettam travelled from Adelaide to join in and was one of those arrested.
