On this day in history:

In 1969, Neil Armstrong became the first person to step foot on the Moon followed by Buzz Aldrin during their Apollo 11 mission

In 2011, NASA’s Space Shuttle Atlantis concluded its final mission bringing supplies to the ISS, officially ending the American space shuttle program.

In 2007, J.K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released. The seventh and concluding entry in the Harry Potter series shows the final confrontation between young wizard Harry Potter and his Lord Voldemort

Finally, in 1989 R&B duo Milli Vanilli were infamously caught lip-synching to the song “Girl You Know It’s True” during a live MTV broadcast.

Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Zoe Kounadis elaborate on these events in history.
