Proposed Curriculum Doesn’t Add Up

Earlier this year, the Australian Curriculum, Assessment and Reporting Authority proposed a draft of changes to the Australian National Curriculum, but they have been criticised for lacking explicit directions for teaching maths in financial contexts, potentially leaving some kids without adequate financial skills.

Dr Emily Ross, a lecturer in Curriculum and Pedagogy at the University of the Sunshine Coast, joins Breakfast’s Tom Mann and Paul Davies us to tell us more about the proposed changes.
