Half Blind But Still Cheeky And Deadly

The Boomerang Show – Just Keeps Coming Back can be best described as tongue-in-cheek and vividly sarcastic, where one man who is not just Indigenous but also half blind cannot resist returning to the stage for the Adelaide Fringe Festival at Tandanya’s Inparrinthi Space to make people laugh at the mere expense of his own misfortunes.

Undeniably, Joshua Warrior is an outrageously cheeky and deadly stand-up comedian from Mallala in South Australia, who doesn’t shy away from combining personal stories and anecdotes about his Aboriginality, being a single father of 2 young boys and sustaining a detached retina in his left eye after having surgery to remove cataracts, when he was 21 years old.

Warrior spoke with De-Stigmatised‘s Jarad McLoughlin about how he took this career defining plunge, despite never feeling like it was something he had been destined to do.
