On this day in history;

In 1985, Mount Ruiz in the Andes, in west-central Colombia, erupted twice, burying the town of Armero and killing an estimated 25,000 people.

In 1839, the last bull run in Britain took place, as the Stamford bull run ended more than 600 years of cruelty.

In 2010, Australian rock band Powderfinger, performed their last concert at the Brisbane River Stage.
