Pressures of social media

Social media has become an integral part of many people’s lives in recent years, changing the way many of us now communicate and share information and ideas.

Despite the creativity that has stemmed from social media, there are significant negative effects to consider,  particularly on young people and their mental health.

Many young people feel the pressures of living up to an idealised image online and comparing themselves to others with unrealistic expectations.

So what can people do to keep a balanced and healthy approach to their use of social media, ensuring they control it, not letting it control them?
