Paul Bayliss: REME and the Forgotten War 16Lt AD Regt

Posted on: Mon 9 Sep 2019

He didn’t like school very much.  Couldn’t wait to leave.  Joined the Army Apprentice College (UK) at age 15.  On graduation, he was put on a ‘plane to Singapore, and slap bang into the conflict that would become referred to as the forgotten war.  Paul tells us about his experiences, and about his involvement now with the National Malaya & Borneo Veterans Assoc of Australia.  This is an insight into an era about which very little is known.
