PFAS are not the new asbestos

PFAS are chemicals that are widely used in the industry for its ability to repel heat, oil and water.

PFAS can be found in places where these chemicals are manufactured, used or disposed, and there are serious concerns that exposure to PFAS can harm our health.

Ian Musgrave, Senior lecturer in Pharmacology at the University of Adelaide, joins Zoe Kounadis and Tom Mann to explain why we shouldn’t be so worried about PFAS pollution.
